Prices for petrol and diesel at petrol stations remained unchanged on 29 April
As of 29 April 2026, Ukraine’s largest petrol station chains have not changed their fuel prices. The average price of A-95 petrol is around 73.03 UAH per litre, whilst diesel costs an average of 88.03 UAH per litre, according to Glavkom.
The highest prices are found at OKKO, WOG and SOCAR. The lowest prices are recorded at the Ukrnafta and BRSM-Nafta chains.
Average prices at petrol station chains are as follows:

The ‘National Cashback’ scheme, which provides partial compensation for fuel costs, has been in effect since 20 March. The cashback rate is 15% on diesel, 10% on petrol and 5% on autogas. The maximum compensation amount is capped at 1,000 UAH per month. The scheme runs until 1 May.
Economy Minister Oleksiy Sobolev noted that the government had introduced fuel cashback as a means of supporting citizens and emphasised that it does not affect the funding of the army.
Ukraine is among the top ten countries with the highest rates of increase in diesel fuel prices. According to available data, diesel prices have risen by 33.9%.
Serhiy Kuyun, director of the A-95 consulting group, stated that there is no shortage of diesel fuel and none is expected. In March, supply volumes remained at 2025 levels.
Pavlo Kyrylenko, Head of the Antimonopoly Committee, explained that the price rise is linked to high dependence on oil product imports following the shutdown of the largest oil refinery. According to him, over 85% of light oil products come from abroad.
Volodymyr Omelchenko, Director of Energy Programmes at the Razumkov Centre, noted that the market situation remains tense, partly due to regulatory decisions. Andriy Myzovets, President of the ‘Gas Traders of Ukraine’ association, attributes the price rise to fluctuations in the oil market, which have also affected gas prices.
Other contributing factors cited include rising demand, declining stocks, and increased procurement and logistics costs.
Analysts suggest that prices may remain volatile in the second quarter of 2026. The Antimonopoly Committee has given the largest petrol station chains 10 days to set a reasonable price for fuel.
