On 16 April, Shakhtar Donetsk will play the second leg of their UEFA Conference League quarter-final away against Dutch side AZ Alkmaar. The match is scheduled to kick off in the evening in Alkmaar.

The match will take place at the AFAS Stadion in Alkmaar and will kick off at 7.45 pm. In Ukraine, the match will be broadcast live on the MEGOGO streaming service.

In the first leg, which took place last week in Krakow, Shakhtar secured a 3-0 victory. This result brought the Ukrainian club closer to reaching the semi-finals of the tournament.

Following that match, the Donetsk side drew 2–2 with LNZ Cherkasy in the headline fixture of the 23rd round of the Ukrainian Premier League. Shakhtar top the league table on goal difference.

AZ Alkmaar won 3-0 against Heerenveen in their league and are sixth in the table.

The match will be officiated by a refereeing team from Germany. Sven Jablonski has been appointed as the referee, with Eduard Baitinger and Lasse Kozlowski serving as assistant referees. The fourth official is Garm Osmers.

Benjamin Brand and Robert Schroeder will be in charge of the VAR system.

The winner of this tie will face the winner of the Crystal Palace v Fiorentina tie in the semi-finals. In the first leg, the English club won 3-0.
