Decriminalization of porn: Zelensky responded to the petition
The President of Ukraine responded to a petition requesting the decriminalization of pornography, which was previously supported by over 25,000 Ukrainians.

The initiator of the appeal, OnlyFans model Svitlana Dvornikova, explained that over five years of working on this platform, she paid the state more than 40 million hryvnias in taxes.

The woman called on the president to publicly support bill No. 12191 on decriminalization of pornography, "so that law enforcement agencies focus on real crimes rather than conducting undercover purchases of intimate photographs."

The petition gathered the required number of votes in three days.

In his response, the president thanked everyone who participated in creating and signing the petition, and noted that Ukraine is a rule-of-law state where legislative changes are adopted solely by the Verkhovna Rada. He stated that the issues raised in the electronic petition fall within the competence of the Verkhovna Rada, and he signs laws only after they are passed by parliament.

Zelensky reminded that the relevant bill No. 12191 is already under consideration in parliament, proposing to amend Article 301 of the Criminal Code. According to it, criminal liability is maintained only for the distribution of pornography among minors or for the purpose of sale.

The president also announced that the proposals outlined in the petition have been sent to the Verkhovna Rada for consideration during the review of this bill.
