The State Statistics Service is launching a large-scale study into the standard of living of Ukrainians
This has been reported by the press office of the State Statistics Service.
According to the press service, the Survey on Income and Living Conditions (EU-SILC) will run until June this year.
It is based on a methodology approved by Eurostat and is a ‘unique source of information for assessing the standard of living of the population and analysing the poverty situation’.
The State Service aims to obtain objective information on living conditions, the financial situation of families, and the poverty levels of various socio-demographic groups.
The sample includes over 18,000 households in 22 regions of Ukraine (excluding temporarily occupied territories and areas of active hostilities). Each household selected for the survey is unique and important for the study and cannot be replaced by another, the statement says.
Participation in the survey is voluntary and confidential.
“No administrative data or registers provide a complete picture – they record formal indicators, but do not answer the questions of how Ukrainian families live, what challenges they face and how they assess their quality of life,” emphasised Arsen Makarchuk, Head of the State Statistics Service.
