On Friday, Ukraine will see a wide variety of weather phenomena
On Friday, 12 June, rain, thunderstorms, hail in places and squalls of up to 15–20 m/s are forecast across Ukraine. A yellow alert has been issued in some regions.

The well-known weather forecaster Natalka Didenko shared this on her Facebook page. 

On Friday, 12 June, the weather in Ukraine is expected to deteriorate. Forecasters predict rain, thunderstorms, and in some areas – hail and squalls of 15–20 m/s.

According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Centre, a Level I (yellow) hazard warning has been issued in certain regions. Such weather conditions may disrupt the operations of energy, construction and utility companies, as well as transport services.

Where will there be heavy rain?

In the western regions, heavy rain is forecast for the night of 11 June, with moderate rain during the day. Thunderstorms are possible in places.

Temperatures in the west will be 9–14°C at night and 15–20°C during the day.

No significant rainfall is expected across the rest of Ukraine overnight. Moderate rain is expected during the day, with heavy rain in the Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Vinnytsia and Odesa regions.

Thunderstorms, hail and squalls

On 12 June, thunderstorms are forecast across Ukraine, except in the western regions. In some areas, hail and squalls of 15–20 m/s are possible.

The air temperature at night will be 13–18°, and during the day – 24–29°. It will be cooler in the Zhytomyr and Vinnytsia regions – 17–22°.

Weather in Kyiv on 12 June

No precipitation is forecast in Kyiv overnight. Heavy rain and thunderstorms are expected during the day.

Temperatures in the capital will be 16–18°C at night and 26–28°C during the day. In the Kyiv region, it will be 13–18°C at night and 24–29°C during the day.

Forecast for 13 June

On Saturday, 13 June, short-lived rain and thunderstorms are expected overnight in most northern and central regions, and during the day on the Left Bank and in the west of the country.

No significant rainfall is forecast for the rest of the country.

Temperatures will be 9–14°C at night and 19–24°C during the day. It will be warmer in the east and south-east of the country – 24–29°C.

In Kyiv, there may be a brief shower on Friday night, with no rain during the day. Temperatures will be 12–14°C at night and 19–21°C during the day.
