Doctors' salaries have risen: who is earning over 40,000 hryvnias?
Emergency doctors
Emergency doctors earned an average of 41,700 hryvnias in April. That is 10,500 hryvnias more than last year.

This was stated by Health Minister Viktor Lyashko.

“Increased funding creates the conditions for raising the salaries of healthcare workers. At the same time, when analysing the performance of healthcare facilities across the country, we see that the issue of fair pay today depends to a large extent not on a lack of resources, but on the quality of management decisions at the local level,” he noted.

The Minister explained that in April 2026, the average salary of an emergency doctor was 41,700 hryvnias, which is 10,500 hryvnias higher than in 2025.

"In primary care, the average salary for a doctor in March was 30,500 hryvnias. Yet our modelling and the resources actually allocated today allow us to reach 35,000 hryvnias," said Lyashko.

As a reminder, Health Minister Viktor Lyashko previously reported that construction work on the innovative wing of the Okhmatdyt Children’s Specialised Hospital has now been completed.
