The "Joy" exhibition at the PinchukArtCentre
The PinchukArtCentre has presented a major group exhibition entitled ‘Joy’, in which Ukrainian and international artists explore one of the most important emotions that gives us strength in difficult times.

The exhibitions "Joy" and "Without Asking Permission" opened on 27 March and will run until 30 August 2026.

The large-scale project “Joy” brings together works by Ukrainian and international artists who, as the exhibition organisers describe, explore one of the most important emotions that gives strength in difficult times. Part of this exhibition is planned to be shown at this year’s Venice Biennale.

The most popular piece has been the installation by Dutch artist Simona Pos. It features the interior of a flat made entirely of marshmallows.

At the entrance, visitors are offered marshmallows so they don’t end up tasting the exhibits.

It is this installation that has quickly gained popularity thanks to its original design and free admission. Ukrainians are already happily sharing photos from the exhibition on social media.
