Rain and temperature swings: what will the weather be like in April, according to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Centre’s forecast
This is reported on the official website of the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Centre.
According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Centre, the average monthly temperature will remain between +8° and +11°C, whilst in the Carpathians it will traditionally be cooler — from +5° to +7°C. As for precipitation, the amount will also be within the norm: on average, 30 to 50 mm will fall, and in mountainous areas — up to 90 mm. This means that April will be wet, but without extreme flooding.
Interestingly, the Wisemeteo portal forecasts a noticeable temperature contrast between day and night. Particular attention should be paid to the period from 8 to 11 April — a brief cold snap is possible on these days. Overall, the month will be cloudy, so we will have to wait for bright sunshine. However, the rain will be mostly moderate, which is important for farmers and gardeners.
It is important to note that the period of unusually warm March weather is already coming to an end. Although warm air masses will still try to hold on, the general trend points to a gradual drop in temperature. In the coming days, the cool weather will be most noticeable in the Kharkiv, Sumy and Poltava regions, where temperatures will not rise above +11°C.
