White Angel crew evacuated over 700 residents of Kramatorsk district in autumn
The evacuation teams of the Donetsk region police "White Angel" evacuated more than 700 civilians from Kramatorsk district in the autumn months. Access to most frontline settlements remains extremely difficult due to constant bombing, artillery and drone attacks.
According to law enforcement officials, the evacuees are mostly elderly people and people with limited mobility who are unable to leave their homes on their own. Many residents delayed the decision until the very last moment, but intense shelling and the deaths of their friends forced them to agree to leave.
During each evacuation, the police not only ensure safety, but also provide psychological support to people under severe stress. Law enforcement officials say that sometimes a few words of support are crucial.
The White Angel crews also help animals. During one of their visits, the police rescued a dog that had become entangled in an anti-drone net and freed it from the trap.
«White Angel» is a special evacuation group of the Donetsk police that performs humanitarian missions near the front line, including the evacuation of civilians from the frontline and temporarily occupied territories.
