Financial assistance following shelling: who is eligible for 300,000 UAH
This was announced by Mykola Lukashuk, Chairman of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council. The Regional Council’s website also states that relatives of civilians killed in the conflict must submit an application and a set of documents to receive assistance.
A support programme is in place in the Dnipropetrovsk region for families who have lost loved ones due to Russian shelling.
This involves a one-off cash payment of 300,000 UAH for the families of deceased civilians.
This support is provided from the regional budget. Earlier, the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council announced that the programme had been extended to families who lost loved ones as a result of Russian strikes on the region.
Who is eligible for assistance
Family members of a deceased civilian are eligible for the payment.
This includes:
husband or wife;
children, including minors;
parents;
half-siblings.
The funds are paid equally among all family members who are entitled to the benefit and have submitted the necessary documents.
What documents are required
To apply for the benefit, you must submit an application and documents confirming the death, family relationships and payment details.
The required documents include:
a copy of the death certificate;
a document confirming family ties with the deceased;
a medical document stating the cause of death;
a bank statement with account details in IBAN format;
a copy of the applicant’s passport.
The Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council website also states that copies of the recipient’s passport and tax card, as well as the details of an IBAN account opened with a state-owned bank, must be attached to the application.
Where to apply
For advice on applying for assistance, families can call:
(056) 740-75-21;
(056) 742-75-93.
According to the Regional Council, the application must be submitted to the Department for Handling Citizens’ Appeals within the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration.
If your home has been damaged
The Regional Council also reminds owners of damaged houses and flats that they must document the damage as soon as possible following shelling.
To do this, you can submit information to the Register of Damages for Ukraine or use the state programme “eVidnovlennia”.
Entrepreneurs may also receive compensation if their property or equipment has been damaged as a result of Russian attacks. To do this, the losses must also be documented.
What is important
The payment of 300,000 UAH applies specifically to the families of civilians who died as a result of Russian attacks in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
This is not a nationwide automatic payment for all those affected by the shelling, but a regional support programme being implemented in the region.
