Over the past 24 hours, 174 combat engagements were recorded on the front line. Russian forces deployed over 8,000 kamikaze drones and carried out more than 2,400 attacks on Ukrainian military positions and populated areas.

The 1,539th day of Russia’s large-scale armed aggression against Ukraine has begun.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 174 combat engagements were recorded on the front line over the past 24 hours.

Russian troops deployed 8,246 kamikaze drones and carried out 2,416 attacks on settlements and Ukrainian military positions, including 82 using multiple launch rocket systems.

The situation in the north and the Kharkiv region

In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, the Russian army carried out 65 shelling attacks, including three using MLRS. Four assault operations were also recorded.

In the Southern Slobozhansky direction, the enemy attacked the positions of Ukrainian units 11 times in the areas of Vovchansk, Starytsia and Krasne Pervoye.

Fighting in eastern Ukraine

In the Kupiansk direction, Russian troops attacked twice in the areas of Radkivka and Kivsharivka.

In the Lyman sector, the enemy attempted to breach the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ defences 17 times in the areas of Lyman, Drobysheve, Zarichne, Ozerny and Stavky.

In the Sloviansk sector, Russian troops carried out nine assaults near Riznykivka, Kryva Luka and Zakitne.

No offensive actions were recorded in the Kramatorsk sector.

In the Kostiantynivka sector, the enemy carried out 16 attacks near Pleshchiivka, Kostiantynivka, Illinivka, Ivanopil, Novopavlivka, Toretsk and Kuchero-Yar.

The highest number of attacks was recorded in the Pokrovsk sector

In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian forces repelled 32 assaults by the Russian army in the areas of Rodynske, Novooleksandrivka, Hryshyne, Bilytske, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Muravka, Novopidhorodne, Molodetske and in the direction of Novopavlivka.

In the Oleksandrivka sector, Russian troops launched two attacks towards Kalynivka and Verbove.

In the Huliaipole sector, the occupiers carried out 20 attacks towards Dobropillia, Staroukrainka, Zaliznychne, Novozaporizhzhia, Vozdvyzhivka, Charivne, Hirke and in the Huliaipole area.

In the Orikhiv sector, the enemy stormed Ukrainian military positions near Stepnogorsk four times.

No offensive actions were recorded in the Dnipro direction.

In the Volyn and Polissya sectors, no signs of offensive groupings being formed were detected.

Russian army losses

According to the General Staff, Russian forces suffered 1,020 casualties over the past 24 hours.

Ukrainian forces also destroyed:

  • 2 tanks
  • 2 armoured fighting vehicles
  • 72 artillery systems
  • 2 multiple launch rocket systems
  • 2 ground-based robotic systems
  • 1,252 unmanned aerial vehicles
  • 145 vehicles
  • 1 unit of specialist equipment.
