The Main Intelligence Directorate has revealed a list of Russian companies supporting the war effort
Rostec
Dozens of Rostec companies supply components for missiles and drones and remain unaffected by sanctions.

The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence has released information on 48 companies belonging to the Russian holding company ‘Shvabe’, which, under the guise of manufacturing medical equipment, are involved in the Russian military-industrial complex.

This is stated in a post by the Main Intelligence Directorate on Telegram.

These are entities that form part of the state-owned corporation ‘Rostec’ and are officially positioned as manufacturers of medical equipment, but in fact work to supply the army.

According to intelligence reports, enterprises within the Shvabe holding are involved in the production of strike and reconnaissance drones, targeting systems for aviation and armoured vehicles, thermal imagers, as well as components for ballistic missiles and guided artillery shells.

Among the exposed companies are:

  • ‘Moscow Sapphire Plant’ – produces photodiodes for Iskander-M ballistic missiles and photodetectors for Krasnopol-M2 guided shells;
  • Central Design Bureau ‘Foton’ – manufactures laser rangefinders and thermal imagers;
  • JSC ‘Germanium’ – produces germanium and its compounds for infrared optics, optical fibres, and the nuclear and radio-electronic industries.

The Main Intelligence Directorate noted that 30 of the holding’s 48 enterprises are not currently subject to sanctions by any country in the sanctions coalition. The “Shvabe” structure also includes foreign assets, notably the Chinese company SHVABE OPTO-ELECTRONICS CO., LTD and the Belarusian enterprise “Shvabe (Minsk)”, which allows the holding to access technologies and components. In total, Ukrainian intelligence has already identified 553 Rostec enterprises involved in meeting Russia’s military needs. Shvabe has become the eighth holding company whose structure has been disclosed as part of this work.
