In the village of Chabany in the Kyiv region, rescue workers carried out an operation to remove the remains of a military missile from a residential block of flats. The most dangerous part of the missile was found in a flat on the ground floor.

During the Russian attack, fragments of a missile struck flats in a residential block in the village of Chabany in the Kyiv region.

The State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported that the missile did not explode inside the high-rise building, which prevented widespread damage and casualties.

Explosive ordnance disposal teams from the State Emergency Service and rescuers from the local fire and rescue unit arrived at the scene.

Specialists manually cleared the rubble in the flats to retrieve dangerous rocket fragments.

Rescuers removed the rocket debris from the second and third floors using specialised machinery and equipment.

The most dangerous situation was in a flat on the ground floor, where the warhead of the rocket was found.

Rescuers reported that thanks to their coordinated efforts, they managed to carry out the operation safely and remove the dangerous component without incident.
