The Israeli grain importer ‘Tzentsiper’ has refused to unload the vessel PANORMITIS, which is carrying stolen Ukrainian grain.

This is reported by the Israeli media outlet TheMarker.

The company stated that the vessel needs to find another port to unload. Therefore, the PANORMITIS remains anchored off the coast of Haifa until a decision is made on what to do with the cargo.

The vessel is carrying around 19,000 tonnes of barley and 6,000 tonnes of wheat. The estimated value of the cargo is around $7 million.

Tzentsiper is one of the largest and oldest grain importers in Israel. The company supplies grain from Europe, the US and South America, mainly for animal feed.

Ukraine’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Andriy Sibiga, stated that this decision sends a signal to all other vessels, captains, operators, insurers and governments not to purchase stolen Ukrainian grain. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs continues to monitor the vessel.

As a reminder, it was previously reported that Ukraine is tracking vessels carrying agricultural products that Russia has illegally exported from the temporarily occupied territories. The Foreign Ministry stated that it would respond to all such cases, and this applies not only to Israel.
