Russian troops have attacked a number of regions in Ukraine; there have been fatalities, injuries and widespread destruction
Zaporizhzhia Region
Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces have carried out 1,001 strikes on 48 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region. According to Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, one person was killed and a further 34 were injured as a result of the attacks on Zaporizhzhia and the Zaporizhzhia district.
There were 250 reports of damage to infrastructure, residential buildings, vehicles and farm buildings.
Dnipropetrovsk region
The Russian army attacked the Nikopol and Kryvyi Rih districts more than ten times, using drones and artillery.
The communities of Nikopol, Marganetsk and Chervonohryhorivka came under fire. A petrol station, a block of flats and private homes were damaged.
A fire broke out in the Novopil community in the Kryvyi Rih district as a result of the shelling.
Kherson region
In the Kherson region, 20 people were injured over the past 24 hours as a result of Russian attacks.
Six high-rise blocks and 35 private homes, an administrative building, a shopping centre and private cars were damaged.
Chernihiv Region
Russian troops attacked the region with strike drones. In the Novhorod-Siverskyi district, a minibus caught fire after a drone crashed; in another settlement, a farm building caught fire. The attack also caused a fire in a two-storey building belonging to a disused holiday resort.
In the Koryukivka district, an enemy strike caused a fire in the control room of a petrol station. In the Chernihiv district, dry vegetation caught fire after a drone crashed.
According to the State Emergency Service, there were no casualties. All fires have been extinguished.
Kirovohrad Oblast
A private house was damaged as a result of an evening rocket and drone attack in the Nadlatska community.
One of the businesses in the Kropyvnytskyi district was also hit. There were no fatalities or injuries. The circumstances of the attack are being investigated.
Kharkiv region
Over the past 24 hours, 20 settlements in the Kharkiv region came under Russian attack. Nine people were injured, including a child.
Russian forces deployed three guided aerial bombs, four ‘Geran-2’ drones, one ‘Lancet’-type UAV, seven ‘Molniya’-type drones, seven FPV drones and 17 drones of a type yet to be identified.
Following the guided air-to-ground bomb strike on Izium, a fire broke out in the 700-square-metre cargo section of a postal operator’s facility. Firefighters extinguished the blaze. There were no casualties.
Odesa region
Russian forces launched a massive missile and drone strike on the Odesa region.
According to the regional military administration, a woman and a four-year-old child were injured. Damage was caused to residential areas, industrial infrastructure, the roof of a block of flats, private homes, cars and the premises of one of the businesses.
