Kyiv region strengthens energy resilience in emergency conditions
Critical infrastructure in the Kyiv region is equipped with backup power sources, and houses with electric heating are connected to high-power generators. This was announced by Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, summarising the results of her working trip to the region.
According to her, 36 mobile boiler rooms are also in operation in the region, which allows heat supply to be maintained despite the unstable operation of the power system. To help the population of the Kyiv region, 456 resilience centres have been set up, and resilience carriages organised by JSC Ukrzaliznytsia are also in operation.
During the visit, special attention was paid to the work of businesses in the context of the energy emergency. As Yulia Svyrydenko noted, more than fifty cogeneration plants are already operating in the region. The government, for its part, is providing full assistance in connecting them.
To simplify interaction with entrepreneurs, a single window for submitting requests for connecting cogeneration plants has been launched on the Pulse platform.
In the areas of Kyiv with the most difficult power supply situation, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES) is connecting high-power generators.
