The Willing Coalition will hold a new meeting on security guarantees for Ukraine on 11 December
On Thursday, 11 December, the member countries of the Coalition of the Willing will gather for a regular meeting to discuss further progress on the issue of security guarantees for Ukraine. This was announced during a press conference by French government spokeswoman Maud Bréchon.
She noted that the meeting is intended to ‘move forward on the issue of security guarantees for Ukraine and the important contribution of the Americans.’ The Élysée Palace specified that the meeting will take place after lunch in the format of a video conference.
The Coalition of the Willing brings together states that coordinate diplomatic and defence efforts in support of Kyiv. During previous rounds, participants agreed on approaches to long-term guarantees, including military assistance and institutional formats.
The current meeting is expected to agree on further steps ahead of upcoming international contacts on the settlement and security architecture for Ukraine.
