Could the curfew be relaxed?
The National Police of Ukraine has announced that in certain areas where a state of emergency has been declared in the energy sector, curfew restrictions may be partially relaxed. This applies to exceptional cases involving the need to reach Points of Resilience or warming centres.
According to the explanation provided by law enforcement agencies, during the curfew, movement on foot or by transport is permitted solely for the purpose of travelling to such points. At the same time, citizens must have an identity document with them, and those liable for military service must also have military registration documents.
No special passes are required for this. At the same time, people are advised to choose the shortest route and to comply with the requirements of the authorities, the State Emergency Service and law enforcement agencies without question.
The National Police emphasises that these relaxations do not cancel the general curfew restrictions, but only supplement them, similar to the rules of conduct during an air raid alert.
