The singer LELÉKA previously stated that the team had been unable to secure sponsors for their preparations for Eurovision 2026. Her representatives later clarified that preparations for the contest are being funded partly by Suspilne, as well as with the support of Ukrainian businesses, brands and patrons.

The LELÉKA team clarified the situation regarding preparations for Eurovision 2026 in a statement to NV.

The singer’s representatives noted that she had given her comments to the programme “Alone with Glamour” as early as 14 March, whilst the episode itself was broadcast on 24 March. According to them, the situation has changed since then.

“Preparations are proceeding as usual: partly funded by Suspilne, partly with the involvement of Ukrainian businesses and brands, and partly with the help of patrons,” said LELÉKA’s representatives.

Earlier, during a conversation with a TSN journalist, LELÉKA stated that at that time there were no expenses for preparations for Eurovision 2026, as the team had not secured funding.

“We plan to start looking for sponsors and some form of support in the near future, because the sums involved are enormous. Everything at Eurovision costs a lot. I couldn’t have imagined that the costs would be so high and that we would have to find the money ourselves,” the singer admitted.

The article also notes that LELÉKA has presented an updated version of the song ‘Ridnym’, which she will perform at Eurovision 2026.

Austria will host the 70th Eurovision Song Contest following JJ’s victory with the song ‘Wasted Love’. Based on the results of the jury and public vote, he scored 436 points.

Eurovision 2026 will take place in Vienna at the Wiener Stadthalle. The semi-finals are scheduled for 12 and 14 May, and the grand final for 16 May.

Thirty-five participating countries, which have already submitted their entries, will compete for the title. Spain, the Netherlands, Ireland, Slovenia and Iceland boycotted the contest because the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) admitted Israel.

LELÉKA will perform the song ‘Ridnym’. Bookmakers currently predict Ukraine will finish in 9th place, with Finland, France and Denmark in the top three.

It is worth noting that 70% of Ukrainians support our country’s participation in Eurovision, which will take place in Vienna (Austria) on 12 May this year. At the same time, only 12% of those surveyed consider the use of public funds to stage the television show to be justified.
