Champions League 2025/26: match schedule for the seventh round
On 20 and 21 January, the seventh and penultimate round of the main stage of the 2025/26 Champions League, Europe's most prestigious club tournament, will take place.
For the first time in two decades, no Ukrainian team is participating in the main stage of the Champions League. The only representative of Ukraine in the qualifiers was Dynamo Kyiv, but the capital club ended its run in the third qualifying round, losing to Paphos of Cyprus.
At the same time, clubs with Ukrainian players will play in the seventh round. On Tuesday, 20 January, Olympiacos, with Ukrainian striker Roman Yaremchuk, will face German club Bayer. Real Madrid, for which goalkeeper Andriy Lunin plays, will host Monaco, and French club PSG, with defender Illia Zabarnyi in its lineup, will play against Lisbon's Sporting.
On Wednesday, 21 January, Azerbaijan's Qarabağ, featuring Ukrainian midfielder Oleksiy Kashchuk, will play Eintracht. Chelsea, without Ukrainian winger Mykhailo Mudryk, who is suspended for doping, will host Paphos. Benfica, for which Ukrainian Anatoliy Trubin and midfielder Georgiy Sudakov play, will face Juventus of Turin.

An overall tournament table is formed based on the results of the eight rounds. The eight best teams advance directly to the round of 16. Teams ranked 9th to 24th will play play-off matches for the right to continue in the playoffs. The remaining teams will end their participation in European competitions.
The subsequent stages of the playoffs will be held in the traditional format of two-leg matches. The final of the 2025/26 Champions League will consist of a single match and will take place on 30 May 2026 at the Puskás Aréna stadium in Budapest.
