Massive Drone Attack: Over 80 Shot Down, but Strikes and Casualties Reported
During the night of December 3, Russian forces launched a massive strike using 111 attack drones, including Shahed-type UAVs, “Herbera” drones, and several other models. More than 60 of them were Shaheds.
According to the Air Force Command of Ukraine, as of 8:00 a.m., Ukrainian air-defense units intercepted or suppressed 83 enemy unmanned aerial vehicles across the northern, southern, and eastern regions of the country.
Despite the efforts of Ukraine’s air defenses, 27 attack drones hit targets in 13 locations, and in one additional area debris from downed UAVs was recorded.
The heaviest damage occurred to civilian infrastructure and private homes in the Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, and Odesa regions. Civilian casualties have been reported.
The attack was repelled by units of the Ukrainian Air Defense Missile Forces, mobile fire groups, as well as electronic warfare units and operators of unmanned systems of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
