Major Telegram update: the messaging app’s founder reveals the details

Telegram has introduced 10 new features and over 200 improvements. The main new feature is the option to connect AI bots to a user’s personal profile.

The announcement was made by the service’s founder, Pavel Durov, on the service’s official blog.

The main new feature is the option to connect AI bots to a user’s personal profile. To do this, you need to select ‘Chat Automation’ in the settings and choose the chats to which the bot will have access – for example, all chats except those with contacts, or new conversations.

Users will also be able to create custom AI bots to interact with other bots.

Another change is the ability to remove individual users’ reactions to posts, which will be available to group and channel administrators.

The built-in polling feature will now allow participation to be restricted by respondent categories, for example, by limiting voting to channel subscribers or users from specific countries.

In addition, administrators will be able to track the progress of a poll using special interactive charts, which will display changes in the number of votes for each answer option in real time.

As a reminder, analysts previously explained why the internet is being cut off across Russia and what Ukrainian drones have to do with it.
