Moldova reported the infiltration of six UAVs: one hit a dwelling
During a large-scale Russian air attack on Ukraine, Moldova's military observation systems detected six unmanned aerial vehicles that violated the country's airspace.
According to ThePublic.info, citing a statement from the Moldovan Ministry of Defense, one of the drones was spotted in the area of Vynohradivka – Vulcănești and was moving towards the border with Romania, flying at an altitude of approximately 1500 meters.
Later, radars detected five more drones crossing the airspace over the territories of Dondușeni, Orhei, Bender, Vadul-lui-Vodă, and Fălești.
One of them fell on the roof of a private house in the village of Nizhni Kukureshti, which has been confirmed by local authorities.
The Moldovan Ministry of Defense called on the population to immediately report any foreign objects and not to touch objects that may be on the ground after drone crashes, but to pass the information to the appropriate services.
Earlier, the Ukrainian Air Force suggested that during this same attack, one Russian UAV might have flown into Romanian territory.
Subsequently, Romania and Moldova officially confirmed violations of their airspace.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that during the attack, the airspace of Moldova and Romania was crossed by four "Shahed" drones.
