Verification gives schools the right to organise teaching under the Ukrainian studies component programme.
Ukrainian Saturday and Sunday schools in 25 countries have received official recognition of their children's learning outcomes.

The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (MES) has completed the verification of 68 Ukrainian educational centres operating abroad in 25 countries around the world. This was announced by Deputy Minister of Education and Science Nadiya Kuzmychova on Facebook.

According to her, the verification is part of the state policy "Children Abroad," aimed at ensuring continuous and recognised education in the Ukrainian language for children living outside Ukraine. One of the key tools of this policy is the verification of Saturday and Sunday schools for compliance with the requirements of the MES.

Kuzmychova also announced that the Ministry of Education and Science, in partnership with the World Congress of Ukrainians (WCU) and the World Coordinating Educational Council (WCEC WCU), is launching a series of 10 informational meetings for representatives of educational centres from different countries. During these meetings, participants will be explained the purpose and procedure of verification, its benefits for students, parents and teachers, as well as the mechanisms for crediting learning outcomes and recognising a child's educational path in Ukraine.

The Ministry of Education and Science emphasises that verification gives schools the right to organise teaching according to the Ukrainian studies component programme in accordance with Ukrainian educational standards. This allows for the official recognition of children's learning outcomes obtained abroad, the transfer of grades to Ukrainian schools, and the continuation of education without retesting or losing a grade.

In addition, teachers of verified educational institutions can count their teaching experience towards receiving a seniority bonus. Teaching experience of at least 180 hours per year, confirmed by a contract, agreement or other relevant documents, will be taken into account.
