Myronyuk, a suspect in the Mindich case, spoke about Galushchenko and “Energoatom”
This was announced by MP Oleksiy Honcharenko on Telegram following the meeting of the Temporary Investigation Commission.
During the meeting of the Temporary Investigation Commission, Ihor Myronyuk stated that he had never been an adviser to the Minister of Energy.
According to him, he had no official powers and did not exercise them.
Myronyuk believes that this status in the public sphere was bestowed upon him by NABU and the SAPO as part of what he described as a “staged operation”.
Goncharenko recalled that Myronyuk appears in Mindich’s recordings under the pseudonym “Rocket”. He is accused of money laundering involving “Energoatom”.
Contacts with Halushchenko
Myronuk stated that he has known Herman Galushchenko since the 1990s.
According to him, they met at a public event when Galushchenko was working in the Presidential Administration.
Myronuk said that their acquaintance began “as one lawyer to another”.
He also stated that he has had a legal services agreement with Galushchenko since 2016 and has provided him with various services.
When Halushchenko was a minister, Myronyuk, in his own words, assisted him and provided advice.
He claims that he met with Galushchenko approximately once a week.
According to Myronyuk, he last spoke with Galushchenko about two weeks before his arrest, in early November.
He stated to the Temporary Investigation Commission that he does not recall the content of that conversation.
Work with “Energoatom”
Myronyuk stated that he served as an adviser to the chairman of the board of “Energoatom” until around 2024, but did not specify an exact date.
According to him, he was involved in the corporatisation of the company.
Myronuk explained that corporatisation is the transformation of a state-owned enterprise into a joint-stock company.
He stated that his work was complete, as “Energoatom” had become a joint-stock company.
Myronuk also claims that he was not paid for his work at Energoatom.
“You could say I’m a volunteer,” he said.
According to him, he did not work directly with Energoatom’s head, Petro Kotin, but only dealt with matters relating to corporatisation.
Investigation materials and Mindich’s recordings
Myronuk stated that neither he nor his lawyers had received recordings of any conversations.
He also said that the investigation materials had not been provided to him.
Separately, Myronyuk denied that he had transferred funds to Serhiy Pushkar.
During the hearing, Goncharenko read out excerpts from Mindich’s recordings in which Mironyuk features.
In response, Myronyuk stated that he could not comment on them, as his lawyers had not received the materials relating to these conversations.
When Goncharenko read out another excerpt from the NABU materials, in which, according to him, Myronyuk and Basov discussed a mechanism for putting pressure on contractors to obtain unlawful benefits, Myronyuk also refused to comment and said that he did not recall such a conversation.
Detention
At the TSK hearing, Myronyuk stated that he had been unlawfully detained for seven months.
According to him, the ECHR has already accepted his complaint for consideration and is due to issue a ruling.
Meeting Derkach
Myronuk also spoke about his acquaintance with Andriy Derkach.
He said they had known each other since 1985, when they studied together at the Marshal Krylov Higher Military School of Rocket Forces in Kharkiv and were classmates.
Myronyuk stated that he last saw Derkach in 2016.
He said that until 2016 they had a friendly relationship, but after that they became “not very friendly”.
Myronuk also said that he had worked with Derkach for four months.
At the hearing, he said that Derkach’s office was located in Mindich’s building on Hrushevsky Street, and that was where he last saw him in 2016.
Kulinich, Zuckerman and income
Myronuk stated that in 2009 he worked as an adviser to Oleg Kulynich when the latter headed the Committee on Land Resources of Ukraine.
Goncharenko noted in his statement that Kulynich later headed the Crimean branch of the SBU and, according to him, is believed to have “opened the door” for the Russian Federation’s invasion in 2022.
Myronuk also confirmed that he knew Oleksandr Tsukerman, but declined to give any details.
Furthermore, he stated that he does not know Kovtonyuk, the current acting head of “Energoatom”.
When asked why he had not left, Myronyuk replied: “Because I probably didn’t know there would be arrests.”
He also said he could not recall what his income had been for the past year.
As reported by ThePublic, Timur Mindich’s business partner, Ihor Khmelov, has been buying up land and holiday complexes near Bukovel for millions of dollars since 2022.
