One person has been killed and eight injured in the Kyiv region as a result of a Russian attack
In the Kyiv region, as a result of the Russian attack, there is currently one confirmed fatality and eight people injured, including a child. All those injured are receiving the necessary medical care.
Damage has been reported in the Bucha, Fastiv and Obukhiv districts. Private houses, high-rise buildings, cars, administrative buildings and other structures have been damaged.
One person has died in the Bucha district. Firefighters have extinguished a car fire.
In the Fastiv district, fires broke out at a veterinary clinic, a nearby car and a private residential building. One casualty has been reported. Around 20 animals died as a result of the damage to the veterinary clinic.
In the Obukhiv district, a strike on a high-rise residential building was recorded. There were no fatalities or injuries there.
In the village of Kryukivshchyna, the roof of a five-storey residential building was damaged.
Clean-up operations are ongoing at the sites, with emergency services in action.
Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga stated that on 3 April, Ukraine was attacked by nearly 500 drones and cruise missiles. According to him, Russia is rejecting diplomatic efforts and responding to proposals for a ceasefire with strikes.
“This is how Moscow is responding to Ukraine’s proposals for an Easter ceasefire – with brutal attacks. Russian terrorists are rejecting diplomacy and peace efforts. They must receive the decisive response they deserve,” Sibiga said.
