Railway stations are becoming not only transport hubs, but also places of support — hundreds of thousands of people have already taken advantage of the warmth, communication and assistance they offer.

There are 97 round-the-clock "Points of Invincibility" operating at railway stations throughout Ukraine. At these locations, passengers and visitors can warm up, recharge their mobile devices, use the internet, and drink hot tea. All points are equipped with backup power supplies.

This was reported by Ukrzaliznytsia. Since the beginning of winter, almost 360,000 people have used the services of railway station points of resilience, of which about 65,000 were during the recent severe frosts.

The company paid special attention to families with children. Forty stations have special children's areas with places for feeding and changing babies, as well as play areas, colouring books and board games.

Ukrzaliznytsia has also announced an expansion of the network. In the near future, another 50 resilience points will be opened at smaller stations in the Kyiv, Kharkiv, Odesa, Lviv and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

In addition, the geography of the so-called "Resilience Carriages" — mobile aid points — is expanding. In the Kyiv region, new carriages will be added to the existing ones in Brovary, Fastiv, Boryspil and Vasylkiv — in Irpin, Bucha, Vyshneve, Boyarka and Borodianka. Two such carriages will also go to Chełm, Poland, where the station is temporarily closed for repairs.

Separately, Ukrzaliznytsia announced plans to deploy an autonomous Food Train kitchen train in the Kyiv region.
