The NABU has issued a warning about phishing emails sent in the bureau’s name
This has been reported by the NABU Telegram channel.
The National Anti-Corruption Bureau has warned of phishing emails being sent out purportedly on behalf of NABU.
The bureau noted that such messages may contain malicious links or attachments.
The emails are sent from addresses similar to NABU’s official addresses.
The National Bureau emphasised that it has no connection whatsoever with such messages.
According to NABU, this is an attempt to steal users’ data or infect their devices.
The bureau also reminded the public that NABU conducts official email correspondence exclusively from the @nabu.gov.ua domain.
Addresses such as @nabu.org.ua, @enabu.gov.ua and other similar domains are not official addresses of the bureau.
NABU issued a separate warning to owners of @ukr.net email accounts.
The bureau noted that such users may receive emails from addresses that completely mimic NABU’s official addresses, including the domain.
NABU recommends not opening attachments or clicking on links in suspicious emails.
You should also not disclose passwords, verification codes or personal data.
Users are advised to always check the sender’s actual address.
If in doubt, NABU recommends contacting the bureau on 0 800 213 200.
