Naftogaz reminded consumers that in order to receive accurate amounts in their gas bills, they must submit their actual meter readings on time. The company also explained what other mistakes could lead to debts and incorrect charges.

This was reported by Naftogaz of Ukraine.

Naftogaz explained that the correct amounts in gas bills directly depend on the timely transmission of meter readings.

The company reminded customers that they are required to submit their natural gas consumption meter readings themselves.

This requirement is stipulated in the Gas Distribution Systems Code, approved by NEURC Resolution No. 2494.

This applies to all domestic consumers who, in accordance with the terms of the contract, are billed according to gas meters.

Such customers must record the actual meter readings every month and submit them within a specified period.

Naftogaz noted that in order to reflect the correct data in gas bills, the actual readings must be submitted between the 28th and 5th of each month.

If this requirement is ignored, the supplier may charge for consumption based on the average rate.

This is the procedure stipulated by the current rules.

There are several ways to submit meter readings.

In particular, this can be done in your personal account, in the Kub app, by SMS to 4647 or on the company's official website.

Naftogaz also explained that the accuracy of the data in the bill is not only influenced by the meter readings.

They advise paying special attention to the accuracy of the details when making a payment.

If you make a mistake when filling out the payment receipt, the funds may not be credited to your balance.

In this case, an artificial debt may arise, which will take additional time to settle.

Another important factor is stability in gas payments.

The company warned that if a consumer does not pay for the service by the 25th of the current month, they will receive a bill with the debt in the next period.

Separately, Naftogaz announced a change in the details for paying for natural gas.

The company emphasised that the updated details will already be indicated on the payment slips.

In addition, the details have been changed automatically for all banks that are partners of the company.

Therefore, customers do not need to add new information themselves.

Naftogaz emphasised that the updated details will be reflected in receipts, and the changes will take place automatically at partner banks.

Earlier, it was also noted that the fact of not living in a house does not exempt one from the obligation to pay for gas distribution, as the networks around the house continue to function.

In addition, Ukrainians are advised not to throw away receipts after paying for utilities and to keep them.
