Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has stated that Israeli forces will not cease their strikes against Iran and Lebanon. This comes amid discussions in the US regarding a possible ceasefire.

Benjamin Netanyahu reported that he had spoken with Donald Trump. According to him, the US leader noted that there was an opportunity to use the gains made on the battlefield to reach an agreement that would enable the war’s objectives to be achieved.

At the same time, the Prime Minister emphasised that Israel would continue its military operations. “At the same time, we will continue to strike targets in both Iran and Lebanon,” he said.

Netanyahu added that there are still many tasks ahead. “There is still much to be done. We will defend our vital interests in any situation,” he noted.

Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich stated that the war against Hezbollah must result in fundamental changes. According to him, this includes control over Lebanese territory up to the Litani River, which is located approximately 30 kilometres north of the Israeli border.
