Netflix розпочав зйомки нового серіального спінофу у франшизі “Гострі картузи”. Проєкт, який неофіційно називають “Peaky 1954”, може розгорнути історію нового покоління клану Шелбі.

This was reported by Netflix

Filming of the new spin-off in the Peaky Blinders franchise began on 4 March. In fact, the two new seasons may complement the existing six, but will tell a separate story about the younger generation of the Shelby clan.

The actors and film crew arrived in Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent, where they worked for several days. Most of the filming took place at the historic Queens Theatre, a few kilometres north of the Digbeth Loc studio in Birmingham, where the main part of the production is confirmed to take place. Some scenes were also filmed on Jenkins Street.

The photos from the set do not show any key scenes, but they do give a first glimpse of what Peaky Blinders will look like in the 1950s. The photos show actors in period costumes and vintage cars.

The series, which is unofficially titled "Peaky 1954" in production lists, is planned for two seasons. The plot centres on the Shelby family's involvement in rebuilding Birmingham's industrial sector, which was destroyed by bombing.

"The race for ownership of a large-scale reconstruction project turns into a fierce competition of mythical proportions in a city of unprecedented opportunities and dangers," reads the series description.

The actors spotted behind the scenes have been identified as Cal O'Driscoll, Fintagh Shevlin and Jacob Wright. Some of them were wearing distinctive headgear, leading to speculation that they may represent the new generation of the Shelby family.

It is currently unknown whether Tommy Shelby, played by Cillian Murphy, will appear in the project, as well as his son, played by Barry Keoghan in another spin-off, Peaky Blinders: Immortal.

Peaky Blinders: Lone Revolver is already showing in select cinemas and will be released on Netflix on 20 March. According to Netflix, the film continues the story of Tommy Shelby, with events unfolding in 1940.

The publication also notes that the film has already received quite favourable reviews. Deadline, in particular, published a review of the film after its theatrical release on 6 March.

It is currently unclear whether these two seasons will be added to the main show as the seventh and eighth seasons or released as a separate project. The series is expected to be released in late 2026 or early 2027.

At the same time, Netflix is also developing a prequel about Polly Gray, the matriarch of the Shelby crime clan.
