Night arrivals without unnecessary expenses: train passengers will be offered discounts on taxis
Taxi services are introducing discounted fares for Ukrzaliznytsia passengers arriving in large cities at night. The company announced this on its Telegram channel.
According to Ukrzaliznytsia, the carrier approached the ride-hailing services Uklon and Bolt with a proposal to support passengers who are forced to arrive after midnight, in particular due to train delays caused by Russian shelling and route changes. The initiative was launched immediately after both services received permission to operate during curfew in Kyiv.
Both companies supported the proposal. Uklon is offering passengers a discount on night-time trips from Kyiv railway station to their homes. The special promo code is valid from 23:15 to 05:00. It can be obtained by exchanging a "hug" in the Ukrzaliznytsia app. Each user can use the promo code once per night.
In the event of train delays, Bolt increases the number of cars near train stations and keeps fares from rising. In addition, Bolt & Visa offers passengers a 50% discount on trips to and from train stations 24 hours a day. Bolt has also provided railway workers with promo codes for business trips.
Ukrzaliznytsia emphasised that it remains open to new partnerships in order to support passengers in the difficult conditions of wartime.
