Over the past year, production of Russian aircraft, including UAVs, has risen by 117% — Bloomberg
Bloomberg reports this.
According to the publication, in 2025, the average annual growth in production volumes in the aviation sector stood at 68%. Bloomberg quotes the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, who said in early May that Russia plans to manufacture 7.3 million FPV drones and 7.8 million combat units for various types of drones in 2026.
Since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Russia has commissioned 64 Su-34 and Su-35 aircraft, as well as 12 Su-27 military aircraft. According to official data cited by Bloomberg, Russian aircraft production increased by 78% in the first four months of 2026.
“If a medium-sized tank learns to shoot down 10 drones approaching it, then someone will develop a system that launches 20. It’s a never-ending standoff,” Bloomberg quotes Vladimir Tkachuk, head of the Russian drone manufacturer UralDroneZavod, as saying.
As a reminder, journalist and military officer Yuriy Butusov previously spoke about the greatest threats facing soldiers on the front line.
