Pyrotechnicians from the State Emergency Service have already defused more than 633,000 explosive devices
Over the past day, 175 items were found and 65 hectares of territory were surveyed. This was reported on the website of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, according to The Public.
Pyrotechnic units of the State Emergency Service continue to work daily in frontline and de-occupied regions. According to rescuers, since the beginning of Russia's large-scale invasion of Ukraine, 633,148 explosive devices and almost 3 tons of explosives have been defused. Among them are 5,049 aerial bombs. In total, more than 193,000 hectares of territory have been surveyed.
Over the past day, pyrotechnicians responded to 126 calls. They detected, seized, and neutralized 175 explosive devices. More than 65 hectares of territory were also checked for cluster munitions, mines, or shells that could have remained after shelling.
The largest number of calls was recorded in the Kharkiv region — more than 52,000 calls since the beginning of the war. Next are Kherson (27,624), Donetsk (18,242), Kyiv (16,467), Mykolaiv (12,494), Chernihiv (8,373), and Sumy (7,064).
The State Emergency Service emphasizes that explosive objects remain dangerous for years. If suspicious objects, explosives, or ammunition remnants are found, citizens are advised not to touch them and to immediately call 101.
