New meetings of the US and Ukraine negotiation teams are planned - Sibiga
In the near future, new meetings of the negotiation teams of Ukraine and the USA will take place to discuss the peace plan, reports RBC-Ukraine. This was stated by Ukraine's Minister of Foreign Affairs Andriy Sybiha during a briefing.
"I confirm that in the near future, we should expect a meeting of the negotiation teams. What are our expectations? Our expectations are concrete results. Concrete results so that progress can be made," said Sybiha.
He noted that for Ukraine, achieving a ceasefire is extremely important, and she has repeatedly demonstrated this.
According to the minister, all efforts now, both the negotiation teams and all diplomatic efforts, are aimed at ensuring this peace process.
"Yes, the Ukrainian side is interested in high-level contacts — a meeting between President Zelensky and President Trump. Because there are issues, the most sensitive issues, that can only be discussed at the leadership level," added Sybiha.
Recall that recently, the media published a new US peace plan regarding the end of the war in Ukraine. It consisted of 28 points, most of which contradict Ukrainian interests.
On November 23, negotiations between the Ukrainian and American delegations took place in Geneva regarding the US peace plan to end Russia's war against Ukraine.
After the negotiations, the Financial Times reported that the document was significantly shortened — instead of 28 points, only 19 remained.
