Businesses and the state can now submit claims to the International Register of Damages — five new categories have been introduced
This was announced by Iryna Mudra, Deputy Head of the Office of the President.
From 29 April, legal entities, state and municipal enterprises, authorities and local communities can submit applications via ‘Diyu’ for:
- damaged or destroyed infrastructure — critical and non-critical;
- lost assets and lost profits;
- repair and restoration costs — including future ones.
“A factory destroyed by a missile. A warehouse that burned down. Urban infrastructure being restored using public funds. A business that had to close due to the occupation. From today, all of this is recorded in an internationally recognised system — with an evidence base that will carry real legal weight,” added Mudra.
As a reminder, it was previously reported that Ukrainians who have lost their jobs due to the war can submit an application to the international Register of Damages.
