The “Google tax” has brought in nearly 7 billion hryvnia for the Ukrainian budget
Among the largest taxpayers are: Apple, Google, Meta, Netflix, Sony, Valve, Etsy, Epic Games and Wargaming.
In the first four months of 2026, international companies providing digital services to Ukrainian users paid over 6.9 billion hryvnia in ‘Google tax’ to the state budget. This is 1.5 billion hryvnia more than in the same period last year.

This was announced by Lesya Karnaukh, Acting Head of the State Tax Service of Ukraine.

Non-resident companies providing electronic services in Ukraine paid over 6.9 billion hryvnias in ‘Google tax’ to the state budget in the first four months of 2026.

In currency terms, the revenue amounted to €52 million and US$97.6 million.

According to Lesya Karnaukh, Acting Head of the State Tax Service of Ukraine, the amount of revenue increased by 1.5 billion hryvnias compared to the same period last year.

Among the largest taxpayers are Apple, Google, Meta, Netflix, Sony, Valve, Etsy, Epic Games and Wargaming.

Karnaukh noted that Ukrainians use these companies’ services on a daily basis. These include advertising, streaming platforms, online games, apps and marketplaces.

According to her, since the start of 2026, a further nine non-resident companies have registered as VAT payers in Ukraine.

In total, 154 international companies are now officially paying the ‘Google tax’ in Ukraine.
