A National Guard colonel tried to ‘buy’ a disability for $6,000 — he was caught red-handed
The State Bureau of Investigation has detained a National Guard colonel
Law enforcement officers have arrested the head of one of the National Guard’s support units, who was attempting to obtain a fraudulent disability certificate. The offence carries a maximum sentence of eight years’ imprisonment.

This has been reported by the State Bureau of Investigation.

The official offered a member of the expert team assessing daily functioning an unlawful benefit of $6,000 in exchange for securing a Group II disability status, followed by discharge from military service.

The law enforcement officer did not have any genuine medical conditions to justify such a disability classification.

The suspect was arrested after handing over part of the funds — $3,000 — as well as medical documents showing signs of forgery.

The official has been notified of suspicion of offering an unlawful benefit to a public official. The offence carries a penalty of up to 8 years’ imprisonment.
