"Potap and Nastya" have announced the band's return after a nine-year hiatus

The musical duo ‘Potap and Nastya’ have announced their return to the stage. On Instagram, they posted a video in which they announced the band’s reunion in Russian and revealed that their first concert will take place on 19 December in New York.

“Sooner or later, every story comes to an end, and ours is no exception. Today marks the end of the hiatus we put the duo on nine years ago. And that means that we — Potap and Nastya — are back and starting to perform again,” the artists said.

This announcement came shortly after Potap (Oleksii Potapenko) and Nastya Kamenskykh announced their divorce.

“Potap and Nastya”: what is known about the group

The duo “Potap and Nastya”, founded in 2006, was one of the most popular music groups in Ukraine. The artists released songs in Russian, which became hits.

After 2014, the group continued to perform in Russia; notably, in May of that year, Potap, speaking on behalf of all Ukrainian artists at the RU.TV awards ceremony in Moscow, thanked Russia for welcoming them.

In October 2017, the band members announced that they were ‘putting the duo on hold’. Nastya Kamenskykh launched her solo project NK, whilst Potap continued to work as an artist, producer and songwriter.

Alexei Potapenko and Nastya Kamenskykh currently live abroad. Kamenskykh gives concerts, notably in the US, where she performs songs in Russian. Although she had previously stated that she would not sing in Russian.

Meanwhile, in February 2025, Potap gave his first major interview since the start of the full-scale invasion to Russian journalist Yuri Dud.
