On Tuesday, 30 June, rolling blackouts may be introduced in Ukraine. In particular, power cuts are forecast in the Khmelnytskyi, Kyiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad and Ivano-Frankivsk regions. There are also rolling blackout schedules for the Volyn region.

This is according to reports from the regional electricity distribution companies.

Information about possible power cuts on 30 June began to appear on the social media accounts of various regional electricity distribution companies from the morning onwards.

In particular, power cuts are forecast in the Khmelnytskyi, Kyiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad and Ivano-Frankivsk regions. Schedules are also available for the Volyn region.

“In accordance with the requirements set out in the amendments to NEURC Resolution No. 332 (Resolution No. 416 of 24 March 2026), and in accordance with the directives of NEC ‘Ukrenergo’, we are announcing the projected scope of electricity supply restrictions for 30 June 2026,” reads a post by Khmelnytskyioblenergo, among others.

How long will the power cuts last?

Full-scale power cuts, comprising 5 stages, are planned for industry and business. For ordinary consumers, power cuts may occur at Stage 1.

In most regions where schedules have already been published, these are one-hour power cuts.

The power cut schedule has been published by Prykarpattyaoblenergo.

In the Kirovohrad region, the power cuts will be more severe. In particular, the region will see restrictions lasting up to two hours.

In Ukraine, Monday 29 June began with an abnormal heatwave. As a result, Ukrenergo had previously warned of possible power cuts. ThePublic provides a detailed account of when this might happen and the current state of the Ukrainian power grid.
