Ukrzaliznytsia, in collaboration with the Moldovan railway, is launching a trial service that will enable passengers to reach Chisinau International Airport much more quickly and without unnecessary changes

This has been reported by JSC ‘Ukrzaliznytsia’

Trial run to Revaca station

The main innovation lies in extending the route to Revaca station, which is located right next to Chisinau Airport. Previously, passengers had to travel to the central station in the Moldovan capital and then find a way to get to the terminals from there. Now this journey is reduced to a minimum.

How it will work on 13 April:

  1. Train No. 351 ‘Kyiv – Chisinau’ will travel to its new terminus – Revaca station.

  2. A free shuttle will meet passengers on the platform and quickly take them directly to the airport entrance.

  3. The timetable has been designed to ensure travellers have sufficient time to check in for their flights.

Prospects for the route

This journey is experimental. Railway officials from both countries will assess the viability of the stop near the airport. If passenger demand is high, the stop at Revaka station with a free transfer will become a permanent part of route No. 351.

This decision could significantly relieve pressure on road border crossings and make travel for Ukrainians to Europe and the rest of the world more accessible and stress-free.
