The President signed a law on increasing the remuneration of extracurricular education workers
The President of Ukraine has signed a law that expands opportunities for increasing the wages of employees of extracurricular education institutions. This was reported by the press service of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
This refers to the Law of Ukraine "On Amendments to Article 22 of the Law of Ukraine "On Extracurricular Education" regarding the remuneration of employees of extracurricular education institutions" No. 4789-IX, signed on 10 March.
The document gives the founders of state and municipal extracurricular education institutions the right to set salaries, allowances, bonuses and monetary rewards for employees in amounts that may exceed the level set by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
In addition, the law allows for the introduction of additional types of material incentives at the expense of the institutions' own budget revenues.
It is expected that the implementation of the law will contribute to strengthening social guarantees for employees of extracurricular education, increasing the prestige of the profession and motivation to work, as well as helping to attract and retain qualified specialists.
The main committee responsible for drafting Bill No. 14323 was the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Education, Science and Innovation.
