Zelensky had a conversation with Trump, during which the parties discussed Russia's strikes on Ukrainian energy infrastructure and the possibilities of strengthening the air defense system.

This was reported by ThePublic.info citing a statement by the head of Ukraine.

"I spoke with U.S. President Donald Trump. A good conversation, very productive," - Zelensky noted.

The Ukrainian president shared that he congratulated Trump on his success and the agreement for the Middle East, which he truly secured. "This is a strong result. And if we manage to stop the war in that region, other wars can definitely be stopped too, including this Russian war," - he emphasized.

Zelensky also mentioned that during the conversation, he informed Trump about Russian strikes on Ukrainian energy infrastructure.

"I am grateful for the willingness to support us. We discussed ways to strengthen our air defense and the agreements we are preparing regarding this. There are good options, strong ideas on how to really strengthen us," - he noted.

The president emphasized that there must be readiness among Russians to engage in genuine diplomacy.

"With strength, this can be ensured. Thank you, Mr. President!" - Zelensky concluded.
