Prince William has spoken about Kate Middleton's condition following her battle with cancer
“She’s an amazing mum, an amazing wife, and, quite literally, our family couldn’t cope without her; she’s wonderful,” said the Prince of Wales to Heart Breakfast presenters Jamie Tikston and Amanda Holden during a radio interview on the Isles of Scilly. This was reported by People.
Speaking about the Princess’s first overseas visit since recovering from cancer — to Reggio Emilia (Italy) — in early May, Prince William said he was “very proud of his wife”.
“Incredibly proud. She’s brilliant. She’s been through so much over the last few years. And yes, she was really looking forward to this trip to Italy. So I’m really glad it went so well. She wanted to go and do a lot of research. Now she’s spending God knows how much time studying all the documents. She’s a real professional when it comes to early childhood development. Almost every evening, I struggle to make my way to the bedroom past the piles of documents she’s set aside to read. So I’m really pleased that everything went well for her, and yes, I think she’s come back in high spirits.”
Prince William added that the family will have to continue to cope with the strain associated with such trips, saying: “Trips like this take a lot out of you… so we need to find a balance, make sure she feels well and gets some rest, but at the same time stays in great shape.”
As a reminder, in March 2024, the Princess of Wales revealed that she was in the early stages of cancer treatment. In September 2024, Kate Middleton confirmed that she had completed her cancer treatment, and four months later, the princess announced that she was in remission.
