Program "UZ-3000": free train trips start from December 1
The Prime Minister announced that the "UZ-3000" free train travel program will start on December 1, 2025, and will last for four months — the goal is to stimulate travel during periods of low demand.

The government is launching an initiative under which every citizen of Ukraine will be able to travel free of charge up to 3,000 km on domestic Ukrzaliznytsia routes from December 1, 2025.

Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko announced that the "UZ-3000" program will be launched on December 1, 2025, and will be in effect for four months.

“During periods of low demand, we have the opportunity to provide additional tickets to citizens,” she noted.

It is also noted that approximately 13 billion hryvnias were allocated to support Ukrzaliznytsia in 2025, and at least 15 billion are planned for 2026.

“Fifteen billion and the 'UZ-3000' program are unrelated,” the prime minister said.

Exactly 3,000 kilometers on domestic Ukrzaliznytsia routes will be free of charge to effectively utilize empty seats during off-peak periods.
