Twenty evacuated residents of Donetsk Oblast arrived in Rivne Oblast, including elderly people and persons with disabilities.

The Rivne region accepted the first evacuation train from Donetsk in 2026, which brought 20 people who were forced to leave their homes due to the war. This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

The evacuees were met at the railway station by rescuers, medics, police officers, representatives of the regional authorities and communities.

Among those who arrived on the evacuation train were elderly people and persons with disabilities who require additional assistance and support.

Upon arrival, psychologists were on site to provide the evacuees with the necessary psychological assistance and support.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs noted that Rivne Oblast will become a temporary shelter for these people, where they will receive the necessary assistance and care.

As emphasised by the ministry, in difficult times Ukrainians continue to support each other and help those who are forced to leave their homes because of the war.
