Russia launched 154 drones into Ukraine at night: Air defence destroyed most targets
The attack lasted from 18:30 on 10 January until the morning of 11 January. This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russia used Shahed, «Gerbera» and other types of drones, which were launched from the directions of Millerovo, Kursk, Oryol, Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk in the territory of the Russian Federation, as well as from Hvardiyske in the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. Approximately 110 drones were of the Shahed type.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, unmanned aerial systems and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defence Forces.
As of 08:00, air defence forces shot down or suppressed 125 enemy drones in the north, south and east of the country. At the same time, 22 attack drones were spotted in 18 locations, and the wreckage of downed drones fell in two more places.
The Air Force noted that the attack continues, enemy drones remain in the airspace, and urged citizens to follow safety rules.
