The Russians attacked an energy facility in the Chernihiv region: 340,000 customers were left without power

Power companies will begin emergency repair work as soon as the security situation allows.

On the night of 6 April, the Russians struck an energy infrastructure facility in the Chernihiv region.

This was reported by Chernihivoblenergo.

As a result of the shelling of the energy facility in the Nizhyn district, 340,000 customers in the cities of Chernihiv and Pryluky, as well as in the Chernihiv and Pryluky districts, were left without power.

Chernihivoblenergo also reported overnight an attack on an energy facility in the Novhorod-Siverskyi district. As a result, over 10,000 more consumers were left without power.

Mayor Yuriy Fomichev reported that the town of Slavutych is without power.

Power engineers will begin emergency repair work as soon as the security situation allows.

The press service of the Chernihiv City Council stated that on 6 April, all trolleybuses in Chernihiv were temporarily suspended due to a power cut. Buses are now operating on routes No. 2 and No. 11.
