Russian forces attacked the town of Sloviansk in the Donetsk region with a FAB-1500 bomb. The bomb was equipped with a standardised guidance and correction module (SGCM), which is attached to free-fall aerial bombs and converts them into guided munitions.

This was reported by the Donetsk Regional State Administration, the State Emergency Service and the Donetsk Regional Police.

The occupiers attacked the centre of Sloviansk at around 5 am, targeting a children’s sports centre, which was completely destroyed. Thirty-nine high-rise buildings, two administrative buildings and 15 cars were also damaged.

A 57-year-old man (diagnosed with shrapnel wounds to his legs) and a 14-year-old boy, who will receive outpatient treatment, were injured in the attack.

“Every day brings new war crimes by the Russians on our land. Russia is a terrorist state!” declared Vadym Filashkin, head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration.

Over the past 24 hours, on 14 April, Russian forces shelled settlements in the Donetsk region nine times, wounding one person in Mykolaivka. A high-rise building was destroyed there and seven others were damaged. In Sviatohorivka, Dobropillia community, a high-rise building and a private house were damaged.
