Russian troops have attacked Kharkiv, the Odesa region, the Poltava region and several other regions of Ukraine

During the night of 13 May, Russian forces launched strikes on Kharkiv, Odesa, Poltava, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Donetsk and Kharkiv regions. The attacks have resulted in casualties and damage to infrastructure, residential buildings and industrial facilities.

Kharkiv Region

In Kharkiv, Russian troops have struck the Shevchenkivskyi and Kholodnohirskyi districts. This was reported by the mayor, Ihor Terekhov.

According to updated information from the city’s Situation Centre, debris from a Russian drone fell onto a road in the Shevchenkivskyi district. There were no casualties.

In the Kholodnohirskyi district, the strike hit an infrastructure facility. A fire broke out at the site of the strike. No reports of casualties have been received.

Oleg Synyegubov, Head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, reported that over the past 24 hours, Kharkiv and 14 other settlements in the region came under attack.

In the village of Shevchenkove, a 75-year-old woman and a 57-year-old man were injured. In the village of Vasilenkove, Shevchenkivska community, a 45-year-old man and women aged 39 and 42 were wounded.

According to Synyegubov, Russian forces attacked the region with six KABs, six Geran-2 drones, two Molniya drones, 12 FPV drones and 23 drones of an as-yet-unidentified type.

In Kharkiv, railway infrastructure and a car were damaged. Also, the transit evacuation centre in Lozova received 207 people over the past 24 hours.

Sumy region

In Hlukhiv, Sumy region, a fire broke out on the premises of a garage cooperative on the evening of 12 May as a result of a Russian strike. The State Emergency Service reported that there was a risk of the fire spreading, but rescue workers extinguished all the flames. There are no reports of injuries at this stage.

Zaporizhzhia region

In the Zaporizhzhia region, Russian forces carried out 1,006 strikes on 49 settlements over the past 24 hours. This was reported by Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration.

Three people were injured as a result of attacks on the Zaporizhzhia district. There were 52 reports of damage to homes, non-residential buildings, vehicles and infrastructure.

Poltava region

In the Poltava region, power cuts occurred after Russian drones struck an electrical substation. Vitaliy Dyakivnych, head of the Poltava Regional Military Administration, reported that over 6,500 domestic and 548 business customers were left without power. Windows in buildings were also damaged. There are no reports of injuries.

Kherson region

In the Kherson region, three people were injured over the past 24 hours as a result of Russian shelling. Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of the Kherson Regional State Administration, reported damage to three high-rise buildings, ten private homes, a water tower, a church, vehicles, and the premises of a farm and an agricultural enterprise.

Also in Kherson, a fire broke out on the top floor of a six-storey residential building after it was hit by a Russian drone. Firefighters extinguished the blaze. No civilians were harmed.

Odesa region

In the Odesa region, on the night of 13 May, Russian attack drones launched a massive assault on industrial infrastructure. Oleg Kipper, Head of the Odesa Regional State Administration, reported damage to warehouses and industrial premises. Localised fires were extinguished by emergency services; there were no casualties.

Donetsk region

In the Donetsk region over the past 24 hours, Russian troops killed one person and wounded four others. This was reported by Vadym Filashkin, head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration.
